So what podcasts do people listen to? Any gems I'm missing? I get (but don't always listen to every episode of each one)... Adam Buxton Below the belt Bloody Elbow presents (6th round, If I did it, etc) Desert Island discs Distraction Pieces Fighter and the kid (rapidly going off that one) Fights gone by Heavy Hands Iain Abernethy In our time Infinite Monkey cage Jamie Clubb JRE (very hit and miss) Kermode and Mayo Life Scientific No such thing as a fish RHLSTP Rift Tech Radio (niche one that) Strenuous Life Unfiltered with James O'Brien Your Mom's house
A good selection there! Some to add to my list I used to listen to "the bugle", although not quite the same since John Oliver left. The MMA hour (Luke Thomas) Can't believe I missed Adam Buxton off my list, always loved Adam and Joe
Did we just become best friends!! I've just finished listening to all of the Adam and Joe show podcasts from BBC radio/XFM. Aside that, and the mighty fine ones you've just listed, the WTF podcast with Marc Marion is tremendous! I try to listen in place of the news nowadays, as its too depressing to listen too on the way to work!
I used to listen to RadioLab Still listen to the 2 main Kevin Smiths Hollywood Babble On and Fatmen Beyond (formerly known as Fatman on Batman). With the passing of Stan Lee, I'm gonna expect the 2 podcasts to be basically Kev crying for 3 hours. Pretty much what I did too.
I have occasionally listened to Joe Rogan but they're too long and I have no idea who half his guests are. I watch some Vlogs (or whatever video versions of podcasts are called): Karate Nerd, Karate Culture and some Ian Abernethy. I don't train karate but I like how all of these guys explore the grappling side of striking arts. I'm involved in music podcasting and I've done about 140 episodes of my own show over the years. Not sure I'm allowed to post a personal link here but a quick search on the MixCloud site on "Secret Archives of the Vatican" will find them.
