Hey all. I was going through some old files on my computer and found a couple of quick bunkai videos I filmed a couple years ago for a buddy. They were filmed off the cuff (no rehearsal or prep) at the end of a long class, so please forgive the low quality. Very good work. What style of karate are these versions of Pinan and have you tried them with full resistance?
My style is kyokushin. Some of the bunkai I have done in kumite/randori. Specifically the arm drag to wedge throw/rnc, shuto mawashi uke/nukite to the neck cranks, and the passing arm/circular block to reverse palm (the big arm swing). I've hit the hawaiian choke throw once or twice, but not enough that I trust it yet. I haven't done the elbow-cracking/devils handshake live, since I'm worried about elbows on that.
