Having had another discussion about the evidence of how much boxing has indeed changed over the past 150 years, I find this good evidence for the fact that only technological or contextual changes really change a martial art. Wrestling is the same as it has ever been, bar the improvements in athletics.
Yeah. Boxing is perhaps slightly unfair as it was only revived about 100 years before the first cameras. Wrestling has remained consistent however the guys now are technically way better than the wrestlers then. Although it does look very close to modern wrestling.
