Not quite what I meant, but here, enjoy this: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nAPmFV_OwRA"]School Girl Judo - YouTube[/ame]
No Gi Judo? Nu-Do? (gets it? it sounds like Nude and judo combined ahahahhahaa) I've never seen a judo use no-gi regularly for anyone except beginners when theres too many of them and not enough gis. However Goshin Jutsu may be no-gi based. But i'm not sure... I don't want to get started on the gi vs. no-gi argument. I've had a rant at both FOD and Chadley about it before
The Hayastan guys do nogi, but otherwise usually no [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o63lZQnvsKA"]Hayastan Grappling for MMA with Gokor Chivichyan - YouTube[/ame]
One of the blokes I do nogi with is also a Judo blackbelt and he runs a mixed gi/nogi class for MMA folks.
I've never done the class, it's on a Saturday morning over in Liverpool and I'm not good at mornings and the extra cost of travelling over kind of put me off as well! When I've rolled with him though, his nogi technique is excellent. I had been working up the motivation to go to the class when my shoulder went on my last year.
Not usually but if you switch the grips to more catch wrestling style the throws work. Just takes practice. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EdTVTObWeGs"]Karo Parisyan, Judo For Mixed Martial Arts, Uchi-Mata - YouTube[/ame]
Awesome! Take one of the no-gi classes for me when you have the time and tell me how it is, pleeaaasee? There's cake in it for you
Well if there's cake in it for me, I'll have to see what I can do! It might be a while off though, as I want to easy back into training with one class a week initially.
Aha, brilliant! Hope you get well son Frodocious! Also, I'm using Google Chrome, so you are now part of my dictionary.
Cheers! Chrome FTW! Although I'm not quite sure whether to be honoured or terrified at being part of your dictionary...
