The amount of generalized knife anxiety I read on these forums provides me with much amusement. What would you wonderful people do the first time someone shot a firearm in your direction? There would be discarded tea cups and biscuit platters everywhere.
An Englishman spill his tea. I don't think so. We may however raise an eyebrow and give a disdainful glare.
Well of course, because an Englishman would make allowances for the high spirits and cultural peculiarities of his colonial cousins, one leads by example.
Knife anxiety? I carry more than knives legally every day...and i'm a therapy professional. I think it has less to do with people's squeamishness and more about the legality of where they live.
I am certainly not a hoplophobe, and let me say that if the only mess I make the first time someone shoots a gun in my general direction is that there some spilled coffee, I will be pretty happy.
The first time it happens it can seem likeit isnt real. Time slows down for some people. It is crazy.
