No 9-year old should be allowed to be this good . And those gloves look like they weigh as much as she does! Very nice.
Nice work... Can't wait for my boy (age 4) to start training. Already "playing" with Dad at home, Getting good at putting his hip into his push kicks and likes rolling with dad as well. Great your filming it, She will love to see this when she gets older..
Funny thing is I get in a lot of trouble if I don't. Both the kids really like having the video. They are also both wrestlers and one day my girl did this perfect textbook bodylock throw and sent her opponent flying like four feet, it was amazing- and I was futzing around with the camera at that moment and therefore didn't get it. I heard about that for weeks.
That's wicked man. I have two daughters, I hope they develop an interest in MAs, so far my eldest wants to sing and my youngest is, well too young to be interested in anything other than cause trouble. Anyhow, she looks good, she coordinates her punch and foot work rather well, that's not easy. She will be participating in the amature ring in no time.
Since August. We don't go every week day, as they are still wrestling. But steady progress. She at least at the moment claims she wants to be an MMA fighter when she grows up, so I wanted to get her exposed to striking early so that her hands are good when she is older.
I wanted to be a martial artist since I was six. The money was just never there. So when my kids took an interest I wanted to be sure they got every chance I could get them. I still train myself when I can but it has come down to time. And I put their stuff ahead of mine as at 38 with health problems I can only go so far, they have the potential to do really well. This is Morigan training with Eddie Bravo: [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RvAHrVhWDBY"]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RvAHrVhWDBY[/ame] First time she rolled BJJ rules: [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zQU8Nnr1tDE&list=UUKgm9h-Fo2RHLD9TNJ_xSDQ"]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zQU8Nnr1tDE&list=UUKgm9h-Fo2RHLD9TNJ_xSDQ[/ame] They got to train with Royce Gracie too: And not to leave my little guy out. He does all the same stuff. [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TeQf7VPa588"]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TeQf7VPa588[/ame]
Congratulation sir, both your children look fit and healthy, the sky is the limit for them both, you are a good poppa. Guess it goes without saying not everybody gets to train with Eddie and Royce...Um didnt wanna point out the obvious but whats the deal there???
Heh, you mean the irony that they trained with Royce and Eddie? Royce has a local chain school in the area. The school is actually very affordable and I like his specific brand of Gracie JJ as it incorporates striking and ways of handling striking. The teachers are very good with kids, and their kids routinely take gold medals at Naga and other BJJ tournaments. There was an Eddie Bravo training camp here recently. The kids prefer no-gi since it feels more natural because of their wrestling background but there is not a good 10th Planet kids program around here. I am going to enroll in the adult program and try to help them as best I can until there is. We are not doing BJJ until after Wrestling season is over in the meantime.
Thats wonderful, you know guys like you, Royce, and even Eddie really understand that its so important to create good memories for children, and families. We all want to see them fit and active. Keep up the good work.
