Muay Thai Round kick versus Side Kick

    Hey kimikic,

    Generally we don't post in old threads like the referenced one because most of the people involved in the original thread aren't around anymore. This also makes thread even longer. If you to discuss an old topic, maybe create a new thread and you can provide a background link to the old thread. This way people don't have to read through dozens or even hundreds of posts just to catch up with.

    With that said, for a side kick, I'm preferring the Thai version called the side teep over the one I learned in karate.

    As a bonus, the side teep can look like a round kick or front kick at the start, so there is a bit of deception a good kicker can use with it to keep the opponent guessing on what is coming.
