He's Fedor. He doesn't need a reason. Though, to be honest, it's a secret Russkie training technique. What they don't show you is him JUMPING OFF THE FREAKING MOUNTAIN, getting back up, THEN DOING IT AGAIN, because he's that darn tough. The continuous falling has damaged his brain, giving him the glazed over look, but it's made him into a mountain of raw, unbridled, manliness unsurpassed in any sport. Well, being Russian didn't hurt, either. The other theory is that because we all know Fedor can't possibly be human (again, Russian, though maybe even more than usual) he goes to the mountain because that's closer to where the mothership picks him up. Either that, or it's where the secret Soviet Battle Satellite of DOOM shoots powerful rays into him, making him the fleshy equivalent of diamond.
