how do you veiw mixed marial arts as a competative combat sport or as a martial art?

 

Obviously it's both.

It's a competative sport because it has a codified rule structure for participants.

It's a martial art because there is a relatively organized set of parameters for training it. It's applicable in a sport situation and it's applicable in a str33t situation.
