    Completely stupid weapon in my view and not something in my syllabus. I'd rather stamp on it and make two shorter sticks, so there are no videos of me using it, save for a brief moment at a seminar.

    I do though have a tutorial video for the bankaw, so if you want a copy PM me your address and I'll get it to you.

    My padded stick are starting to break up, so this weekend I'll be making a new batch.

    Made some new padded sticks today and hopefully will give them a test drive tomorrow.

    For those who fancy this, but have never picked up a stick, it really doesn't matter. You can learn the basic strikes real quick.

    If you want to get some practice in though, check out the technique thread, as I've shot a 3 part tutorial.

    This video maybe explains the ranges a little better.

    Zaad, jwt and I did this drill last week, but kept things at long range.

    As we move into medium range (sumbrada) hopefully you'll see points at which you can throw techniques from your own art.

    So when is this meet happening?
    Just got my "appointment" through and might be out of commission for part of February. :(
    Apparently lots of blokes pull out though (pun?) and so might get done before then.

    I'll contact the Judo Centre tomorrow and ask if they can let us have the hall on Saturday 21st February.

    Ned, I must admit I still haven't contacted the centre, but this is still very much on and I'm going to still ask about the 21st February.

    I've made a new design of padded stick and they see just right, so I'll make a dozen or so for the meet.

    I'll confirm as soon as I can get hold of the Judo Centre team.
