    sup guys.

i just uploaded a workout done by throwing together some random exercises, cause i was bored :D :

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w_mjFlO5q_M"]YouTube- Workout, part 1[/ame] (it's in three parts, part 3 is still uploading)

    EDIT: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EzCPT4U8a0g&feature=channel"]YouTube- Workout, part 2[/ame]

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sv637wsP8TA&feature=channel"]YouTube- Workout, part 3[/ame]

parts 2 and 3 are up

might have skipped or added a few reps here and there, maybe missed a set, since i'm horrible at keeping count. contains a couple of fails, a guest appearance by my mother, a snapping resistance band (which had already broken yesterday so i was using the two halves :p), and me almost dying doing arms-on-chest v-ups (my abs are fail).

We still need others posting clips. Still only 4 different people posting. Anything goes guys, it does not have to be ball breaking, it may just be an exercise you do that we have not seen before.

Hi guys, [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lY5bLJLXffA"]Here[/ame] is a video of a cardio routine our conditioning coach puts us though on a regular basis. This routine takes roughly an hour and if we finish it quicker we knock out a few sets of tabatas (often burpees, hill climbers or press ups  )

Usual variations of this basic routine will include, shuttles to kettlebell lifts (bent over rows, cleans, whatever just knock them out, you are racing the clock the whole time)

Wow this looks really good! Ok I have a new grinder to put myself through. Looks like an ass kicker!

Is that you in the video running through the drill?

A FEW QUESTIONS and POINTS ON THE THREAD:

    1) I'd like to have the thread so that people only post vids of themselves doing the drills and workouts. Otherwise it becomes just another post a workout/drill thread on MAP if it's vids of anyone other than the actual poster doing the drills. This lends itself to questions about the drill and critiques of the drill a whole lot better than just random vids of others doing workouts.

    2) I'd like to get a common posting format for titles and headers so that when people go through the thread it's very clear what the vid is. If we all adopt a common way of posting a vid title with a link then it's uniform and easily readable by anyone.

    Example:

This is the way I've done all of my vid posts in this thread. It's clean, it's concise and easily readable and easy to find the link. If we're going to all the trouble to shoot and edit and upload vids... then let's go the extra step of a bit of formatting that makes it uniform and easy to read for anyone entering the thread.

    Thoughts?

Ok here's another one... One of my favorite motions. Great for Muay Thai Clinch strength... great for grappling strength and conditioning and great for promoting and building shoulder health and mobility. It's a movement that gets a good amount of lat in as well.

I've got a deeper description on my blog. I've shot it from several angles and have tried to give a bit more instruction on the vid as well as some slow motion clips so you can really study the movement.

It's definitely in keeping with the ethos of working out anywhere with anything as you will definitely see:

I want to start seeing people posting up vids of them working through the movements! Let's get it done people!

How about having a sped up version (like forever youngs) alongside the normal vid just for lol's. Those dirty dogs were hysterical. Good workout tho.

Nothing doin. The whole point is a thread where people can get serious workouts and correct info on the movements and technique.
All the other nonsense is for YouTube and all the other vids sites where you have to wade through tons of crap just to find solid technique.

It's about training hard and putting it out there... not about lols. Talking the talk and walking the walk.

This is one of the best MAP threads ever. Thanks to Fishy boy for starting it and Slippy boy for giving it legs. I feel an award coming on in 2010. :)

I did a playground workout this morning. But I'll be damned if I can't find my camcorder's instructions and leads to transfer any video. I'll keep looking. :(

Damn right. This is an excellent thread. And I'm sorry I haven't posted anything yet!

But saying that, Fishy has been waiting to see my kata for months now :p

EDIT: I think I might talk to the admins about having a different kind of page for these exercises to make them more accessible. Would people be interested in that? Can't promise anything, of course!

Second Edit: Just tried those fruity pull ups of yours. They're awesome! Although I'm pitifully bad at pull ups, so won't be posting any vids ;)

Gonna have a crack at those sternum chins this weekend. Hopefully will get a half-decent vid of my attempt and maybe coma too if he's up for it. To be honest, the other stuff isn't really my cup of tea, being purely into lifting these days and not MA any more. In any case, the level of enthusiasm you four alone have shown is more than I'd have expected. It's inspiring, actually, don't stop!

lol it is a killer, thats my conditioning coach Andy Marshall, we do this regularly and several variations of it around 3x per week so i have plenty of first hand experience with this one lol, Its cardio tomorrow so those blasted shuttle runs will most likely be making an appearance lol I will endeavor to film the workout if its a different routine

Looking forward to seeing it. I'm looking to try and get that workout in this week!

One thing I notice every single bleedin' time... if I go down to roll... it almost seems no matter how much I train on my own... the warm ups are still hard once you throw that gi on and hit the mat. It's crazy. I can knock out press ups of all shapes and sizes anywhere anytime... yet I throw on the gi and hit the mats and have my coach standing over me and I'm struggling at 20 and by 25 I'm starting to fade. lol... funny the way it works.

I get the complete opposite, I struggle on my own and yet fly through them in class.

Brilliant thread guys! special mention to slip - awesome.

Loving that round the world drill, going to try it with my 10kg med ball tonight. I have a bit of a request.. Earlier you mentioned the swiss ball. I have one at home, and I would love to see some good stuff for that.

Great work, will try and post a vid of me trying out some these exercises. I have a makeshift resistance band station in my garden, which basically consists of a band and a small tree LOL.

Also anything with med ball would be awesome.. No idea how I can do the slip line drill at the moment, but I would LOVE to try that out.

Yeah man those who have jumped in so far have made the thread good. We just have to get more of MAP in on it. If we managed even 2% of MAP's members... it's be killer. Well it'd probably blow up the server! lol

Yep that will work. The med ball with give it a totally different feel. Good though. Medballs are great for that type of exercise!

Yep this I will get to. I just have to figure out the logistics as carrying a Swiss ball outdoors is a hassle. Not that it's heavy... just big and silly. :p
Yeah bro that's all it takes!

Yep med ball drills coming up soon!!! :)
