A fascinating fight in prospect. Manny looking very relaxed and Floyd in great shape, as he always is. I don't think this is a 50/50 fight, but it is a 51/49 if Floyd's favour. Manny will jab, slip to the outside and throw his double rear cross and Floyd will either distance himself, or catch Manny on the way in. It's tough, as I think both fighters will have a 12 round mentality. Manny will have to hit, angle, work the body, then the head, high and low, then get out of there. The second there is a flaw in Floyd's armour, Manny need to throw some heavy shots to get his respect. Floyd will wait, throw that nice tight hook he has that works inside of the opponent's hook and he'll also work the body and throw the uppercut inside if Manny is slow getting out. It really can go either way.
Tyson disagrees. From 1:00m. [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iA24sDTpMuA"]Mike Tyson on Mayweather vs. Pacquiao - UCN Exclusive - YouTube[/ame] How do you measure greatness? He has a 47 and 0, but has also been in prison for spousal abuse. Ali of course dodged the draft, so you could throw that back at me. All time great fighter maybe, but all time great, maybe not.
I think that because boxing is an eacape from rough upbringings, more fighters than not will be less than savoury characters out of the ring. Mayweather isn't great but he's no Rubin Carter.
Pacquiao's no angel. And neither are Mp's, priest's, all sorts. Boxing, he's great, no question. Not defending what he has done, but a lot of the old fighters, Ali included, would be accused of similar things of fighting today. Look at Manny's history, especially his political one.
