Did anyone see that? It just aired a few minutes ago, and was led by a "Fred Simmons" which is apparently a fictional character based off of the movie "The Foot Fist Way" or something. The whole skit was so crude it made me uncomfortable. I know it was in good fun, but damn them for making Tae Kwon Do look like a freakin' joke. :woo: Any of you all see it? I couldn't find a link for it.
Jeez, is this the 1960s? Are martial arts still so novel that "funny man in pyjamas" sketches still get a laugh?
I don't think anyone is having a go at TKD. Only some aspects of any martial art. It just happens that he chose TKD for the film. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qTIUy6T68XY"]YouTube[/ame] I thought he was funny
http://youtube.com/watch?v=6hO9lP4lVvY heres the trailer to the movie. Its more or less everything we laugh about McDojos on (nearly) all MA based forums.
ROTFLMAO!!! Anyone offended by that is because maybe it's too damn close to home eh? Truth hurts ladies... truth hurts!!! BWHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm with MD on this - I don't think these guys are bashing TKD, just crap MA schools in general. I personally can't wait for this movie - TKD? Check. Crude Humour? Check. Hilarious moment where woman gets KTFO by a big guy. CHECK! As long as people see it for what it is - a joke - I don't see the harm.
