It was the right call to make. Really, the only responsible choice. Finances aside. It is not like we will jump back into full normal when full lockdown is over. I imagine we will take baby steps back to normal. And we may be doing two steps forward, one step back. Until they develop a vaccine, which is probably at least a year away. I see large events later this year having the wait and see attitude around here. Honestly, I think large events should just be cancelled for this entire year. No Comic-Con no Pride, nada.
I agree. So much talk over her as to when the football season could start again. It's ridiculous and money driven. Cancel for the season and be done with it. People come first.
Man, I wish I could afford to go over there whenever the next MAP meet is. More than ever, I would like to meet you all in person. It won't be financially feasible, but I wish it was.
I think cancelling is a wise decision I too wish I could get there next year to meet everyone. I truly want to meet the MAP crew someday...that and give you all a chance to make fun of my accent But I doubt we will be in England anytime soon. Mrs Xue needs to go to China next year, or when the travel ban is lifted, and we are planning a trip to Taiwan after that. Besides, at the rate this pandemic is moving, I'll be lucky if I have had my knee surgery by the time the MAP meet occurs. And even if I did have the knee surgery by then and got to MAP, not sure how many of you would be interested in my Crutchfu
Funnily enough I found some footage on an old SD card the other day, I was thinking exactly the same thing
We'll get all our MAP friends together just as soon as it's possible, one way or another. There are so many great people here that I just look forward to seeing, never mind the learning and charity fundraising that is part and parcel of a MAP Meet. All our Stateside friends, and others around the world, we would love to see you if you can ever make it, and we'll do everything we can to help. Stay safe everyone, we'll get there
