3 nice pictures of Lei (Unreal Combat) transitioning through a rear knee to the midsection.

Loads of great tips to be gained here.

The high hands starting point and the way the rear hand is used to assist in power delivery.

Also take note of the impact point of Lei's knee, or rather the top of it.

Also note the nice braced pad holding from Ruth.

Me demonstrating how to move forward and backwards without rising up and down.

I'm also explaining how to move the entire trunk, rather than stepping forward, then dragging the rest of the body into place.

This would have been a nice addition to the latest technique thread video.

What looks like a nice layback hook from Unreal Combat.

Good high rear hand, toe, knee, hip and shoulder turned in towards the opponent and a nice high lead elbow.

There's loads we can learn from this next picture, and hopefully Unreal Combat will see it and give his own opinion.

Nicely pivoting supporting leg, with the ankle, knee and hip all pointing in the same direction, completely removing any undue pressure on the knee.

It also open the hips allowing the kick to hit right through the target.

he also has the lead hip in front of the lead knee, proving he's not just throwing the leg, but driving it with the hips.

The Tai Chi guys have an exercise called silk reeling and even just turning the arms side to side is driven by the hips. Not the other way round.

There's also the nice relaxed bend in the lead leg, rather than anything chambered.

A great shot for anyone wanting to study this kick.

There's another shot from a different angle and this time he's pivoted slightly further round, but maintained the straight line in the ankle, knee and hip.

You can also see how open the hips are and that the lead hip is still in front of the lead knee.

If you haven't attended a MAP Meet you really should consider it.

Everyone, and I do mean everyone, is so nice and humble.

Fitness and age (there is a minimum age for insurance reasons) aren't an issue.

It could you your first ever exposure to Martial Arts and you'd get lots from it and for those asking "what art should I do", well the 2016 meet would answer that for you.

All instructors give there time for free, with every single penny raised going to charity.

If you have any questions regarding the 2016 MAP Meet, then ask a question by following the meet link, or contact a member of the MOD Team.

The cross is actually the first strike in the combo that I showed on the day.

Right cross -> left hook -> right roundhouse.

On the day I went into great detail on breaking down this combo as it's great for switching striking height throughout to bring the hands up or down to set up further strikes and confuse the other fighter.
