Let's see... Kung Fu - style, tradition, discipline, effectiveness through hard training and dedication Boxing - throw random punches, hug someone when you get tired, bash their mother in the pre-fight interview, and bite off Evander Holyfield's ear Yeah. I think I got it.
You ain't got nothing. Boxing is also all the things that you attributed to Kung Fu. It is also a science of footwork, angles and positioning that many (including yourself obviously) may not see or understand. Even the boxers you see at press conferences (selling fights by making outragous threats) and indeed Mike Tyson all have an amazing skill that can take a lifetime to perfect...
I hope you was messing about because otherwise you don't have a clue about what you are talking about. Boxing, and various other forms of it (like Kickboxing and Muay Thai) requires alot of discipline and precision at a high level. What might seem like random punches to you are actually normally thought out and have a purpose at a higher level. Not to mention taking into account the other fighters defence. Stamina is the most crucial part to a style like this, throw out random punches and you'll quickly wear yourself out, lose your defence, and to put it quite simply, against any decent fighter get hammered. It's as much an art as it is the things you would apply to other martial arts. "style, tradition, discipline, effectiveness through hard training and dedication" Not trying to be horrible here but if you honestly think otherwise you have not done it, or any other form of it, at any reasonable standard. Please come back when you actually know what you are talking about.
