    Indeed!

    6.5 cm is roughly 2½ inches, so how something like that got in his lung is definitely a mystery. :thinking:

    But rest easy, J-D, as there's practically no way it entered his body by following *normal* acupuncture procedures, at least none that I'm aware of. :confused:

    what would happen if you had one stuck in your back and rolled over on it?
    Would it stick in, break, or tear out?

    My experience has been to see the needles BEND rather than break in the scenario you mentioned. And FWIW, most acupuncture needles only approach 2 inches in length if including the handle portion (most points are very superficial indeed, so the part which penetrates the skin, is hair thin, and rarely exceeds one inch in length for most applications). There are a few exceptions to this length, however, mostly for special cases but by & large not all that common.
