Got told about this last night : A 26 year old fireman , has died after having his first kickboxing bout. The show was in Hertfordshire. Very sad news. I was told he took a kick to the head and went down from there http://www.hemeltoday.co.uk/news/Kickboxer-fighting-for-life.5766994.jp
It's never nice news hearing about such tragedies in our sport, and i only hope that there were no dubious contributing factors as a result of poor promotion - ie poor match-making, too little medical expertise on site, etc. I only hope that his family and loved ones get through this tragic time. Does anybody know under which body the fight was sanctioned or whom was promoting it?
