I'm going to Uni in Leicester in sept. I'm looking for a place to train and fight out of. From ym reasearch I've found a couple of places. I'm mainly interested in fighting under K1 and modified Muay Thai rules, maybe Full Thai too. http://www.leicesterkickboxing.co.uk/home.html - Seems to mainly be american kickboxing, but they've had one fighter (Simon Dore) fight in k1 once, though I'm not sure if they have many fighters who still fight under non full kick rules. Jag Johal is head instructor anyone ehard of him? http://meltonassassins.co.uk/ They have a gym in Leicester. I would be really happy to train here, they seem to have a nice setup and have trained in Thailand except it looks like enarly all there fighters are kids. I think the trainer in Leicester is Mark Barlow, anyone heard of him? I heard a guy called Sandy Holt has a gym somwhere in Leicester too, anyone know anything about this or him? I was planning to train some no gi grappling at Leicester shootfighters and maybe some amateur boxing too so if anyone has any info on that feel free to share. Thanks for any replies.

Keep an eye out for a guy called Neil Parry. He moved to Leicester a couple of years ago and used to teach thai boxing up here. He's an ex-kickboxer that's certainly been around the block but whether he's teaching or even training I don't know.
Mark Barlow the intructor at the Leicester Assassins club was on a TV show a while back "Strictly Baby Fight Club". Not sure if anyone has any more info on him? He has named his kid "Thai" and Thai has had alot of fights, they visit Thailand alot too, so it looks promising.
