http://www.austinkenpokarate.com/kenpo_history.html I'm not a Kenpo practitioner so this is the best suggestion for reading I have.
Thanks waya for that really useful website on kenpo karate. Its says on the website that The Kenpo practioner uses the rounded fluid motions of Chinese Kung Fu and the hard linear strikes of Japanese Karate to create self-defense techniques, form exercises and free-fighting combinations. So does that mean Kenpo is chinese kung fu and japanese karate put together. does kenpo have its own forms or does it have both kung fu and karate forms.
Kenpo is a seperate system with bases on both sides from my understanding. It's not Karate, not Kung Fu, but influenced by both.
