part one: just curious about the amount of people that study in your schools. are there a lot of people in your schools and are they part of a chain of schools? can you train at any of the schools or do you have to train in that school?
There are a lot of people who train in my association. (Wing Chun.) you pay a flat rate fee every month - you can then train in any club any day of the week, (apart from friday, I don't think there is a session on Friday!) However, there are two HQ's. To train at these, you pay a higher flat rate fee per month, but there is all the equipment you need, plus you normally get taught by a senior instructor, or the head guy himself.
My training has kinda been one on one or two one one (sometimes 2 teachers sometimes 2 students) for the last few years Prev in Wing Chun classes ranged from about 12 to 30 In Thai Boxing it ranged from about 3 to 15 per class etc
No but i still get the odd move wizzing through my head at odd times i was training in it pretty full on
Wing Chun, well, we're closed door. 12 of us altogether, 3 currently inactive (2 injuries from tournaments). 2 old guys and 10 young lions. (Yeah, I'm one of the oldsters). Mantis, maybe 15 to 18 active in my kwoon, good mix of all age ranges. 6 in and out. Clan is scattered across North America. Have had opportunity to to train with others but do not regularly as we are spread out all over. Judo, large organization, train with univesity club and private club. Good times!
