I've joined the Dark Side

So, a little while ago, I joined Bullshido.net. I made an effort to join their forum previously, but got scared by how mean everyone seemed to be and didn't post much of anything. I don't know if the atmosphere has actually changed, but it doesn't seem as bad now.

I've been a lurking member over there for quite a while. But in general I prefer MAP.

Take it from me, it helps a lot. While many of the people there can be cynical jackasses from time to time, it does more good than bad.
For the most part, the attitude there is “prove it or shut up” and it really tests your resolve. The way martial arts should be, really.

I recommend it, but take the cynicism with a grain of salt. Most of the people there are just having good ole’ dumb fun than anything else.
Not for the thin skinned or LARPER’s, really.

So when you took up BJJ did that turn you straigh or did it drive you in to the realm of village people camp?
