Yeah, I was dripping sweat this evening as well. shovelling a metre of snow off my driveway. I'm probably the only one who sweats when its -21.7°C outside. Probably because I'm so hot.
Yep, and it's only going to get hotter. I'm not looking forward to Saturday. Or leaving my lovely air-conditioned loungeroom to go to training in about an hour. At least it's not humid.
It's in the thirties here too. But that's fahrenheit, of course. Down south they're probably building arks by now, as half the country disappears under the flood water. It's grim down south!
It really is. But it's ok, Prince Charles is on the case now, everything is going to work out just fine.
It's not flood water. It's actually homeopathic flood relief tincture. The way to cure too much water is to have even more water.
Definitely not hot over here. Moved to the first floor of the apartment building which is a good three feet under ground. This makes it exceptionally cold, not to mention the breeze generated in the lobby by opening the front and back doors of the complex blows in under the front door. Morning routine: Wake up, get fully dressed and throw a beanie on. Not going anywhere (unfortunately), but if I want to stay warm I need to be fully dressed like I'm going outside .
We've got a heat wave here too. It's - 4 degrees C. Can't wait for summer, it's my favourite day of the year.
Some of us have taken to tying old people together and using them as a raft. As long as we keep feeding them beans, we don't have to paddle.
Seriously though it is pretty bad in some places. We've managed to avoid the worst of it, only thing we've had to deal with is the sewage pipes/drainage system overflowing. Some of the other areas have sustained pretty heavy damage so far.
We got hit with a good little bit of snow yesterday, not sure what the final tally was I think somewhere near 15-20 cm. Got home to find that my neighbour shovelled our walkway (it leads up to both our doors) and did a very poor stinkin' job of it. I go out to clean it up and she gets all mad at me. Her: "Rawr!!! I already shoveled!!!" I: "And you did a glorious job messing it up. Please let me shovel it as I have all winter already so it gets done properly."
36 Degrees today, 40+ tomorrow and the kids next door have gone to the beach the fools there will be sunburn tears later tonight.
Yep, you guys are getting pasted by all of those heat waves. Weirdly enough, it has actually been a really mild summer so far for us and we are heaps further north. You are basically being punished by god for living in the wrong state. Which is fair enough. paul
