is Google ads good for leads?

i want to promote my business at local online market, but confused about leads, is google ads good for sales, or ads for just promotion.

 

I don't know much myself, but I'm sure some of the more tech savvy people can help you.

 

Save your money. I tried it and didn't a single sale from it. I have gotten a lot more sales from posting on relevant forums (I sell tea so I post on tea forums) than I have ever got from google, facebook ect... It might be slower but I believe it's better to grow your business organically.

 

What is your business?

We had a family business for several years selling custom gates, pool fences and the like. We exclusively used google adds so that anyone searching pool fence in a high net worth suburb would see our add first.

We had so many sales initially we didn't know how to keep the factory churning them out without making mistakes!
