Suppose I'd better introduce myself! Current art: Aikido (white belt, about to grade to yellow) Previous arts: Tae Kwon Do (Green Belt), Kenpo (Brown belt, 1st) Location: Exeter, Devon Age: Never ask a lady such a question Other Hobbies: Adult Instructor with the Royal Marines Cadets in the city, so teach everything from engineering and first aid to Fieldcraft and Map Reading The day job: Mechanical Engineer with a local agricultural company That's about it really. Got into Aikido recently after needing something to do one night a week after issues with a now ex friend. Enjoying it so far which is the main thing!
In my experience everyone who's studied too much math and physics is from mildly eccentric to completely mad. But at least you can go around telling people "Trust me, I'm an engineer!"
studying maths and physics has certain taken me to one stop short of Barking thats for sure My things of more saying 'Meh! that won't work' when seeing people do DIY or trying to build things
I'm blaming the boiler suit but in fairness you're going to be the last to know for sure What do you engineer?
agricultural stuff mostly. Grain driers, conveying equipment and things like that. I'm the one sat in the office designing the machines and swearing at AutoCAD :bang: I do however own a boiler suit and safety boots....and fetching the look too.....not.
That's actually surprisingly accurate. The longer someone studies abstract mathematics, the more their social skills seem to degrade.
