Nope, this isn't an April Fools Joke even though it sort of started as one. A group of college students celebrated the man, his movies, and his favorite charity (www.lifelinenergy.org) every year with rum & Dr. Pepper. Eventually, Tom Hanks heard about it and got involved. http://www.suntimes.com/entertainme...for-the-memories-april-fools-day-tribute.html http://www.mlive.com/news/kalamazoo/index.ssf/2012/03/happy_tom_hanks_day_western_mi.html Who doesn't like Tom Hanks? In honor of International Tom Hanks Day, what's your favorite Tom Hanks movie(s)? It's a tough one for me but I'll go with: Saving Private Ryan The Green Mile Bachelor Party
Philadephia by a country mile. Brilliant film. But I haven't seen Saving Private Ryan (I'm guessing Meg Ryan isn't in that one). Also got 'Sleepless in Seattle' mixed up with another film involving sleeping (or a coma)
At the risk of being a boring killjoy... I really can't stand Tom Hanks! He makes my spine crawl! Although, I quite liked 'Big'.
Philadelphia was an amazing movie. Hated You've Got Mail and Sleepless in Seattle, though.. they were good for mindless pap, but nothing I'd watch again. Enjoyed Big. He really impressed me in Castaway, thought he did a superb job in that, but I didn't like the film itself a great deal because the subject matter freaks me the hell out in a big way :$
