hi all has anyone hear of IMASA (INDEPENDENT MARTIAL ART SPORTS ASSOCIATION) as have some info from them and they seem pretty good but not heard of them before any feed back would be great Pete
Good for insurance, good as an association, or a good sign for students looking at clubs? I know one major Mcdojo who grades through them, not worth the paper the certs are written on.
http://www.independentmartialartsportsassociation.co.uk/approvedstylessports.htm Approved Disciplines MMA (but no cage fighting) Non Approved Disciplines Cage Fighting No connection to Martial Arts Shoot Fighting Use of live bladed weapons Approved Sports: Jazz Dancin Kayaking Lacrosse Latin Dancing
But MMA in a ring is good to go, right? What about plexiglass walls or Bloodsport style platforms? And what's with the "approved sports"? Do they hold kayaking and jazz dancing gradings or something?
Look at this... (emphasis added) from http://www.independentmartialartsportsassociation.co.uk/dangradings.htm I'm sorry, but I have a hard time taking them seriously when they're based in an English-speaking country that can't be bothered to use the language correctly.
