i recently ran across a school in my general area. so i decided what i should look for.

as you know JKD is ussually a mixture of lots of different styles, most of which i've had zero exposure to. so how can i tell if the school is good? or if it's just a Mcdojo babysitting class with bruce lee's "style" tacked on?

    this is the website:

    http://www.theedgema.com/arts.html

not the best name for a MA school.

could anyone look over this site and tell me (based on what you saw) if i should give this a shot?

    thx.

checked out the site and the guy seems to know what he is talking about, the only thing id say to you is the curriculum looks like it is heavily influenced by the silat systems, nothing wrong with that , silat is awesome but not for everyone , i agree with the other posts ,go take a class see what you think.

thanks guys, i think i'll give it a go.

silat sounds like dirty muay thai with some submmissions thrown in there. :D

i think i'll take to that one pretty well.

    thanks agian for your help.
