I'm interested in anyone's thoughts/opinions about the U.S., especially if they are not from the States themselves. I would love to hear what others think of my country. I'm not personally an America basher, nor do I feel it neccesary to defend my country's actions 24/7. I'm just interested in the world's opinion of us. ***Takes cover under desk***
I'm going to guess the basic tone of this thread. Just my impression. Everyone is going to say: I like Americans pretty well, but DAMN you guys need to learn how to VOTE!!
I'm finally able to vote, and I plan on doing so every year until I can't walk, then I'll have to fill out one of those absent forms...or keep up my handwalking into my later years. I'm actually a bit excited about voting. I hate Americans who bitch about the States but don't vote. If you hate the way things work, then vote!!!
Phhh!!!! Mind the land mines...The only eggshells I worry about are the ones that somehow wind up in the cakes I make.
Them Americans talk all funny and seem to like supersizing everything. Finished Oooh and Hershey bars are AWFUL!
Good on ya for being excited to vote. It doesn't always work out... but there are some of us stubborn enough to believe that some day it may actually work in our favor.
I think the United States is a very ugly place.... I mean 2 straight edged borders separated by 2 wiggly ones? That's soooo last season. And the shape of Alaska is v. unimaginative.
I often find that as a whole, the US has grown soft. What happened to us? We won independence from a massive world power...and now look at us, we keep entering wars we need to back down from. Jeez, we pull out more than certain males in certain faiths while doing certain acts to certain woman...
