Umm I hate to break the news to you but NAZI stands for National socialist party of Germany.

The only difference between Communism and Socialism is that communism is imposed through a military coup or takeover. While socialism is imposed by an ELECTED official.

So do you mind telling me what you think Hitler was?

But it wasn't about extermination camps,it was a POW camp- El Medico
You are aware that the SS tortured their POW's to try to extract info from them?

    Your tinfoil hat is showing.

Suggesting that adult Americans need to play more, be able to coexist with one another, and that they could have camp the same way kids do is miles away from the camps of Nazi Germany. You're drawing a parallel where none exists.

Hitler was a fascist. While fascism has some elements in common with communism due to the nature of the political horseshoe, it is a far right ideology rather than a far left ideology. The 'socialism' of the Nazi party was very far removed from normal socialist ideology.

Hitler was a member of the communist party for a time before moving to the far right. A study of German history will illustrate how the Nazi party (and subsequently the Nazi government) treated communists.

    please understand this isn't personal.
but you missed my point. that video was Hillary discussing these "camps" with public audience. there is another video where she is addressing the a private progressive audience. she tells them that she plans on havng separate "re-education camps" (her words not mine) for adults and children so that we can reeducate the adults that do not go along with whatever it is that she is planning to do and "properly educate" the children.

trust me I have seen and heard things I will not discuss here but its about to get VERY ugly. I can tell you that there will not be another presidential election. at least not a real one.

And yes my tin hat fits very well. I know were I can get you one half price if you want one.

yes Hitler designed his own version of socialism. that's why we went to war with him. Like Vladimir Putin he wasn't going along with the new world order.

I think you'd really benefit from some history classes or some online research from reputable sources or getting some reputable books from the library.

Hitler didn't design his own version of socialism.

The Second World War was not caused by the existence of National Socialism. America's belated involvement in that war was not caused by it either.

So what? That's not being sent to the ovens.

I hate to break it to you but you need to bone up on the difference between Marxist and National Socialist ideology. Not all police states have the same theoretical foundations.

The USSR freely acknowledged that they had not reached the state of true communism-but they recognized themselves (in theory,at least) as a socialist state.P.S.-The Bolsheviks didn't get control of the country through elections.

Oh,what was this Satanic monument that Hitler used and Obama had reconstructed?

Someone been reading "The Spear of Destiny" overmuch?

    I guess I'm a bit petty-minded now, but:
Nazi stands for "Nationalsozialist" --> National Socialist.
"NSDAP" stands for "Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei", which is your Nazi party.

    A psychopath.
Unfortunately one, who knew what to say at the time.

And certainly without defending what the SS did (they were people I'd like to call names, that aren't proper here): In wartimes lots of people get tortured for information.
Does that make it any better? - Hell, no!
    But it's not exclusively a SS-thing.
Wheres as the KZ were pretty much an exclusive thing; "industial killing" of millions that way was and is unique. And I sure hope it stays that way.

Regarding Hogan's Heroes: I love the show, but so far only watched the dubbed version (except some parts on youtube), which has tons of dialog simply changed to the original

And I'm fine with liking the show.
There is comedy about tons of stuff out there, which shouldn't be funny.
At least lots of the cast of HH were actually affected of those horrible times.
And when they are fine that, I can live with liking the show as well ^^

Umm I already knew that. I will admit I am not literate on all the differences between the two... perhaps you will enlighten me?

If you want to know I can find it. I saw that In a book I read a few years back i'll see if I can find the book. I am horrible at remembering names.

His Name is Chuck Missler. He is a former rocket scientist/think tank founder/government consultant. The "show" was a utube podcast that he does.

Wait a sec - I just actually watched the linked video, because some of the responses here made me curious.

Are you actually and seriously comparing KZs from nazi Germany with those camps Clinton talks about??
    You gotta be kidding!

Whatever one might think about her idea - you want to compare with the mass-murder of millions?

Geez, that's even so disrespectful, I don't know where to start.

In case you are equating those, you might really want to re-read some of your history.

a youtube podcast does not constitute a "tv show".

    but whatever...

the really salient question is: why do you believe chuck missler?

    Missler's Beliefs

The following is a small sampling of ridiculous biblical theories put forth or endorsed by Missler and his ministry over the years. Many of these have been debunked and some are no longer promoted by Missler.

    1. He thought the face on Mars indicated that there are Martians who are planning an attack on earth via the moon which would signal the start of the Tribulation. It has been a number of years since he has said this.

    2. He thinks that once Mars was so close to earth that you could see its two moons. The proof offered was that Jonathan Swift in his famous book, Gulliver's Travels (1726), describes Mars as having two small moons, way before these two moons were discovered in 1877 by Asaph Hall. He explains this by saying that Mars in ancient times was very close to the earth so man could see these two moons. Then Jupiter ejected a comet (now the planet Venus) which passed close to earth, causing the plagues of Egypt, and parting the Red Sea for Moses. Centuries later Venus jolted Mars into its present orbit. This theory is a delusional fantasy that is devoid of facts.*

3.He believes the Bible is one single, harmonious, unified, inspired book, and every detail, every word, every letter, was put there by the authorship of the holy spirit for a reason. He believes this regardless of the well- supported fact that the bible is mostly pseudographical, and has been edited, revised, and embellished many times over.

    4. He considers the war in Iraq a prelude to the establishment of the Antichrist’s kingdom on earth, as foretold in the Book of Revelations. He believed and promoted the same type of scenario in regard to the potential nuclear exchange between the U.S. and the Soviet Union In the 1980's.

    5. He was among the group of doomsday quacks that believed and preached that the Y2K glitch would usher in the "end times".

    speaking of some wierdness...

i saw the matt thornton video and watched it because i really appreciate the way that matt talks about martial arts. but when he started getting into the "christian beliefs" bit, and ripping on pz myers (presumably because pz doesn't do jiujitsu), then that was kind of strange in my book.

matt kind of crushed his own argument. he's an atheist, but then is saying that atheists don't share his beliefs? it was strange.

Now I'm glad that I didn't bother googling that gentleman (I was still to shocked by the video and the comparison).

Btw - since when is the 18th century "ancient times"?
(Yes, I feel sad, that this part kind of bothered me ;) )

    EDIT:
At least it seems that way.

Lots of people in Europe think that Americans don't know enough about history outside of the US - and statements like his feed those people unfortunately.
(Disclaimer, before someone thinks I want to bash Americans: I read otherwise from enough Americans; I'm fairly certain there are enough that know their fair of history and those that don't - same as lots of Europeans. ;) )
