    Thanks for the welcome Dean,

    Yep that's us..

No, not connected to Genbukan any more.

Jujitsu taught is a kind of mixture of different influences, a bit like KJJR is, although with different influencing factors (not like KJJR but used that as an example as gives the kinda idea)

Were you not happy with the Genbukan?

I have a lot of respect for Genbukan, they just weren't right for me any longer.

I was never really so interested in the GBK Ninpo side of things though, it was the KJJR system and Ryu that I was interested in.

I thought the ryu-ha were available and taught.

Do you have better access to ryu-ha training now?

The Ryu are available to members, that had nothing to do with my leaving.

As Genbukan was mentioned, I was just highlighting that it was Jujutsu rather than Ninpo that I concentrated on within the org.

No better access now, I think GBK are one of the best ways in the UK to learn Ryu.

What is the 3rd Dan Jujutsu & Instructor Status - Cobra Martial Arts Association (CMAA) in?

    Soooo....gotta ask....

1)You were interested in the ryu-ha.

2)You think the best way to learn those ryu-ha in the UK is via the Genbukan.

3)You left the Genbukan because it wasn't what you wanted.

    I'm confused.

    So you cut yourself off?

What is your source of training now?

    Nooooo, way off...

Didn't even know about Ryu until joined GBK!! See above post, I previously trained in a couple of Gendai Jujutsu styles, had no idea about much else at that point, then came across KJJR DVD's, made contact and started training.

Although I'm no longer in GBK, I respect them too much to discuss my reasons for leaving on a public forum, I left on good terms and want to stay that way. PM me and I'll try to answer any specific questions you have.

Eeek! Yes sorry Ninniku. Just on first glance your choices appear to contradict your interests/goals. I was confused by that.

    Enjoy MAP. :)

No probs, you want to know who your dealing with, nothing wrong with that. If I wasn't up for questions I wouldn't have registered.

Can understand why looks like contradicts, but doesn't really - I liked the Ryu in GBK as opposed to Ninpo, that's what I was getting across. The Ryu however weren't actually the be all and end all for me.

I don't mind a PM though, just don't want to discuss details in a public forum - being a BJK member I guess you can understand?

Oh, ok... I thought you had the same kind of rules as GBK about that kind of thing...

    GBK definitely do mind!!...
