Very happy birthday. 43 years young today. We'll raise a glass for you at the MAP Meet on Saturday (any excuse).
Happy Birthday mate, Enjoy. Perhaps you will get a Teddy Ruxpin bear with Lazers shooting from his eyes as a pressy. Baza
Happy birthday buddy! I trust you spent your birthday in typical MAP fashion (trying not to get beaten up by your mates)?
Thanks for the birthday wishes, everyone! It wasn't my mates beating me up that concerned me. It was the Denver, Colorado airport. My youngest had a birthday on the 7th (1 year old), so my wife took the two of us to Denver for a work conference. She worked. We played. After missing a flight and having the next one delayed multiple times for storm activity, we spent virtually the whole day either in airports or in the air. So today, I'm feeling like 43 is the new 83. But no matter. This Friday, we'll re-celebrate (it also being Father's Day on Sunday and all). The current plan is to watch The Lego Movie with the kids (because I want to mostly) and then make it a double feature perhaps. I'm thinking either that Liam Neeson airplane flick or the Kevin Costner actioner. Something with relatively old action heroes beating the tar out of people. Seems fitting. Besides, let's face it. A 1-year-old's birthday party is primarily for everyone else anyway. My wife wanted to do a British theme, which is harder than you might imagine over here. We ordered Cornish pasties, which are remarkably hard to get over here, as well as sausage rolls. Drank Boddingtons. (Me. Not the baby.) And did a scavenger hunt using these Doctor Who mini figures I found at Barnes & Noble. I managed to keep Tom Baker, who now sits on my desk. Unsurprisingly, David Tennant did a runner with one of the guests. Curiously, Paul McGann is still sitting on the window sill, poor sod.
