Gum Shield - andre orlovski

I'm looking for the same gum shield that andre orlovski wore, its black with white fangs...

where can i get one from?

They could be custom built. Any dentist should be able to get them done for you but at a price. I think my dentist charges £75 plus VAT to get a proper set moulded.

 

i can get custom moulded gummies for £35, they send you the pack and you post it back...a few days later you get the gummy

I'll have to check on the custom built postal one as it's a heck of a lot cheaper than doing it at the dentist. I just figured a real live dentist or dental technician would mould the sucker more accurately than my sausage fingers would and wouldn't make it out of something like cardboard.

 

I always end of burning my mouth when shaping guards I have a black and white one, no fangs though! Will find a pic.

 

I have a pure black one and a clear one and by clear I mean tinged with blood, stupid thing, blood has just soaked into it and I can taste the iron if I use it. Tsk, there'd be more padding if I used Charmin Ultra instead... Stupid £10 gum shields... :woo:

 

I have a cheapo Shock Doctor one which seems to be fine! I hate dribbling while wearing them though!

Fanged one sounds cool though, would be interested in getting a fancy one too actually in order to stop the dribbling problem.

 

What you need is a bib rather than a gum shield...

Ok a quick search on the old interweb reveals that some punters reckon he got the fanged gum shield from a company called "Bite Me".

They also suggested that www.opro.com might sell something similar.

 

Has anyone tried the "brain pad" ones? http://www.brainpads.com/

It sounds really good but I don't know how much better they are than regular ones. And how about shock doctor?

I usually just get a bunch of the cheapest ones. That way I always have spares. And most of them don't get right during boiling either.

EDIT: I remember this site that sold a huge variety of mouthguards, alot of fanged ones there. I'll try to fight it.
