Funker Tactical's New Kali CQC Series, "By the Edge" featuring Kuya Doug Marcaida

Funker Tactical is basically a YouTube weapons and tactics channel with pretty professional quality videos. I've been following their material for a while, especially Instructor Zero, who's name sounds like he's an X-Man, and shoots like it's his superpower.

They've done a few combatives features before, a couple knife & karambit videos, but they've started a dedicated Kali CQC series hosted by Kuya Doug Marcaida of the Brotherhood of the Blade.

I had no idea, but when someone like Doug asks "Do you know Hannibal?" the first thought I had was "Who have I offended now?"

 

Kuya Doug Marcaida is one of my idols in FMA. I really look forward to Funker Tactical's continuation of Knife vs. Gun series this year.

Location, no instructor near me.

 

That is unfortunate. Hope you can find an instructor at some point in the future.

 

I'm guessing that there are many Filipinos that could survive the climate.

Closest guy I know of is in Juneau, which is only close in the Yukon/Alaska sense of the word, meaning you could drive there.... in a day... in good weather.. if you were lucky.

 

Brilliant videos. I hope they keep making them. With so many trash videos on the Internet I love seeing well-produced, clear, professionally edited videos from a qualified instructor. Ya know, the 0.01% of MA videos on Youtube.

 

Those videos are amazing. I am looking forward to them too.

 

Oddly enough we have a fairly large Filipino community. Hmmm, maybe I should start walking up to randoms and ask if they have any relatives that practice FMA that they could black mail into moving to the yukon, you know just for a few years until I get the basics down.

That video claims Doug works for a PMC company called DCAPSIEGE Inc, but there is no website for them and almost zero Google results. The only results that I found are directly related to Doug himself. Anyone know if they're a legit outfit or even real?

 

Apparently the SIEGE bit is Strategic Edged Impact Global Enterprise (pics of Marcaida all over the site), and DCAPS might be this military consultancy, but the only place you see the full DCAPSIEGE acronym seems to be on his YouTube.
