light pre-comp training yesterday. met up with friends again, lifted with them, then we got food. now 2hs and change away from weigh-in (+2 till comp starts, and probably another 2 till i go)
o hai. updating now that i have finished my post-competition convalescence in a vague imitation of an amoeboid lifeform snatch: 60kg 65kg 72.5kg fail four other guys in my weight class (under 62kg), only one of which had equivalent numbers (his technique was better though), so we chased each other with the numbers by leapfrogging the weight of our attempts to force the other one to go higher in hopes he'd miss, and i lost the draw on both lifts, ending up second in the weight class. clean and jerk: 85kg 90kg 100kg fail since i derped the last snatch, but he made it successfully, he had a 7.5kg lead, so i needed a 7.5kg lead in cnj to tie the total and win by bodyweight (since i was lighter). i went 85, he went 87, i went 90, he went 92, i tried 100, got under it and lost it before standing up (jumped backwards excessively, i think), then he went 102.5 and got redlighted for a pressout, so if i had gotten at least one of my third attempts i might have won damn fun, though. also hunnerd: https://www.instagram.com/p/_QCYRQJAvR/
