Hi all I first posted here over two months ago asking if Taekwon-do would be right for me, and today I had my first grading (yellow tag). Obviously it was quite a simple one (patterns, punches/blocks, theory) but I was still filling my boots. All went well So aye -- nothing exciting for most of you, but a big deal for this old bugger (I find out on Monday night if I got my tag or not)
Nice way to pi55 on a mans chips Rags. Maybe part of being a senior grade is recognising the steps needed to get there and the sense of achievement that should go with them? Mitch
Well, I guess compared to other grades, yes? I mean, after 2 months I would hope that a student would be able to perform the basic movements without too many errors. I consider it an achievement anyway, and I worked hard for it.
Congrats on your grade =) its nice to see people who know what it means to be proud of your work . Good luck in the future if you have any questions regarding TKD feel free to message me I'll be glad to answer anything I can.
Congrats!! Technically I reckon your first grading would be your hardest, as your so new to tkd, where as when you do higher grades, yes you do harder stuff, but you've had a heck of a lot more practice etc
I remember my first grading, I was overweight, smoked, drank too much, actually, I think I had a hangover. That day was hard, I would have rather been run over by a truck.
