Anyone train or know anything about Enshin Karate?

I know that its has some connection with the Sabaki Challenge (full contact karate tournament) and was developed by Kancho Ninomiya.

    Hi,

The Sabaki Challenge was created by Joko Ninomiya. That's why a lot of Enshin Karateka are involved in that tournament. But the tournament itself, I believe, is open to all styles.

Enshin Karate-do was formed by Ninomiya, based on Ashihara Karate-do. Ninomiya was originally a Kyokushin Karateka under Ashihara. When Ashihara left the Kyokushin, Ninomiya followed his sensei. I could be wrong, but I believe that Ninomiya created Enshin Karate-do after Ashihara's death. It's a pretty solid, full-contact style of Karate.

Joko Ninomiya placed third in the First World Open Kyokushin Championships. You could see him in action in the old karate documentary, "The Fighting Black Kings".

That's as much (or as little) as I know about Enshin Karate-do. I hope that this was helpful.

    Regards,
