I'm honestly surprised I won this fight. Taller fighter with more experience (current ICO area champion), fought while suffering from bad flu (it was so bad I was coughing my guts up during the medical, lol), adrenaline dump in round 2, sprained right shoulder in round 3, trained in a completely different style of full contact fighting for the previous year that has a slower, more technical pace, fighting the promoters fighter, second to last fight of the night. I had so much stacked against me it's not even funny, lol.
It had to have sealed any doubts as to whether you could pull something out of yourself under such bad conditions. May not have been your most technically sound in your eyes but it had to have answered the "if I have to reach way down, what am I gonna pull up" Surprising, some that don't see that till late. Remember the Jon Jones vs Gustafsson? I think it was the first time Jones really had to reach.
