But why only two? There are more. It gets better. It makes me think of Kings Quest and Space Quest and all those old Sierra games. Why is it even there?
TOTALLY. My thoughts exactly. Must find my old Kings Quest games now. I have no idea why a MIDI file like that is still around...maybe a holdover from Windows versions gone by...
You've also got "flourish" and "town" in the same folder. They're just sample music files, same as you have sample photos and so on. Different versions of Windows seem to have different files, certainly as far back as Windows95. Doing a search like this on Windows 7 also showed up many others.
Hmmm strange. The version of onestop played in that Youtube video seems to be in a different key than the one on my computer.
Gametap has lots of them for cheap. I'm pretty sure Sierra still sells downloadable versions somewhere online. I picked up the whole set sometime back, and they had the Space Quest and Police Quest set too, if I remember correctly.
Same here. It's the same song, just in a different key. But saying that, YouTube seems to have quite the community for these easter egg .mid files so maybe someone has been modding them? This is my favourite though :hat: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ttm70Yyk1A"]YouTube- Windows XP Virus Song DOWNLOAD: http://uploaded.to/?id=178pkh[/ame]
