I know when I get down and boogey that kata and other martial arts moves are always in the back of my head and although I don't do any of them on purpose I bet you sub-conciously I am affected by them! So when you get down with your bad self do MA moves affect your dancin style? Or do you end up sitting on the sidelines like this guy:
I voted "Yes, my pants command me!" They're special Gi pants, with glitter and pockets to store bottles of JD in (in case I run out, I can't dance sober)
Heh some one I know incorportated Tai Chi into her Ballet. She does these kind of impromptu dances on special occasions. It looks rather ackward.....
I voted 'yes, my pants command me' just for the sake of it P.S. 'pants' are quite another thing in UK english I tried incorporating karate into dancing, and stopped it pretty snappish after I found out what a prat I looked doing it
my first wing chun instructor was dance instructor to peter andree and some other groups if you know pak sao from with chun you will notice them doing side neutral and pak sao block as was as gum sao moves very amusing of course he was smoking a lot of gunga so he probably thought we would all get a kick and a laugh out of it ......we did and i chose "im with the guy bellow"
well we used to go out in like a group of ten kind of take over the floor end up meeting guys from other styles there and have fastest combo competitions , highest jumping splits etc.... also as a joke we used to do the forms in sync at high speed just for fun though once 2 guys a bit drunk stood doing the shil lim tao for like half an hour security was going to throw them out but we talked them out of it
Incidentally, me and another guy tried doing wado ryu kata in judo as part of a warmup. The instructor mocked me mercilessly....
heck yeah I do... WOOT! Just like that one episode of Samurai Jack when he has that rave and he starts busting out the moves.
