I've noticed that if I leave my homepage field blank in my profile, it keeps reverting to assorted pornographic sites, so I've just set it to google for now. Is this some kind of really bad joke? I thought this place was supposed to be suitable for all ages?

I kill any that I accumulate on a weekly basis, but I'll run spybot now and see whats up, but I dont think its spyware. Could be something on the site's end.

Hmm, spybot didnt find anything, but it seems to do the same thing to the homepage field on forums with the same format as MAP, best I look into this with some virus scanning, methinks. I knew actually looking through my e-mail would be a bad idea. Perhaps others should be on guard for this problem too? I'd hate for some kid to wind up clicking on a nasty link inadvertantly put in someone's profile.

You've got to go in and delete the cookies every so often. Also, your "temporary internet files". They eat up a lot of space, plus those pesky porno sites can be lurking around in there.

    Eeek!

Another user had this problem a while back. I'm 99.99999% sure this cannot happen from our end but we're looking into it anyway.

sounds like someone's been tampering with your autocomplete settings. Try HijackThis and Browser Hijack Blaster. These were a great help for me when someone kept causing my homepage to change.

Also, go into your startup settings and check what's been set up to run when you start your PC. If you corrupt these files (and cookies) instead of deleting them, you might get around it, and if the spyware is still floating round in your system it'll think the hijack program is still operating.
