This is a half-warning/half-rant. I just wanted to point out how problematic Direct X 9.0c is. This is a prime example of how M$ spits in its user's faces. They are well aware of its many problems (DX 8 was actually more stable). However, they have done absolutely nothing to fix it, patch it, or update it. In addition to that, the only possible way (that I'm aware of) to uninstall this version and get an older version is to reinstall Windows! That's outrageous! Not only do they make a shoddy 3D graphics engine which a huge majority of games run on, but they make it so you can't even get rid of it and go with an earlier version. Many games designed for DX 8 won't even run in 9.0c. Sure, some do, but they really should allow these "updates" to work just as well, if not better, than their predecessors. They say Direct X 10 is coming out this year. We can only hope that it's much better than our current version. (I apolagize for the rant )
