He was only 66 and aparently died of a heart attack. Sad news. He was fairly young compared to some of the rockers out there that have been drunk and high most of their lives. I was more of a fan of their TV show as a kid than I ever was of their music but they had a few good songs and he had a great voice.
Ya, that's a sad one. My brothers and I were addicted to the television show reruns, and we loved the songs. We still quote his "little metal bottle caps" line to one another. Davy: Hey, hey, listen to this. [reads from Chic Magazine] 'Why not take little metal bottle tops and nail them to your living room floor? It gives you the impression that you are walking upon little metal bottle tops.'
Sad news. That is young to go. I was a fan of the music when I was a kid. Pretty much everything was upbeat as it gets.
