Crossing a Guard

    Hi peeps,

    interested in peoples favorite guard crossing methods in Tai chi.

    Say,
    the right hand sort of arcs down and across with a sort of back fist shortly followed by the left strike - this is a part of my form that in other Yang forms might be the preceeding part of 'parry punch'.. I use the lead to hit the guard away and strike with the other hand. Can use either side, used it a fair bit and it works well. Might be able to pull a clip or two out from somewhere, possibly, to illustrate what i mean..

    Also looking to play around with a new idea, namely using ji :)

    That's "deflect, parry and punch" in my yang form as well. Glen Harrison (sp) does a good demo of this in his Internal Damage clips. I want to get that DVD :D I like the noise his partner makes.
