I've been playing brutal legend recently and i really liked their creation myth: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AcPm-MQiCQ8"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AcPm-MQiCQ8[/ame] So what's your favourite creation myths or the wackiest you've heard? My favourite is the Rudyard Kipling's "Just so stories" that my godfather gave me when i was 12, i have the original which has awesome prints and really nice illustrations which i mimicked in some of my art work. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Just_So_Stories The wackiest i've heard was about the Japanese archipelago being made of semen after a god raped the earth or something like that. Weird that.
HOLY CRAP I JUST GOOGLED HOW MUCH THE ORIGINAL SELLS! ITS WORTH OVER 2500 POUND! http://www.peterharrington.co.uk/store/childrens-books/product/just-so-stories-for-little-children-4/ Check your attics people!
I love him as an author, and the "Just So Stories" in particular. The best is the sailor who gets swallowed by a whale. I dream of writing that well.
actually looking at the prints of just so stories and the artowkr of the brutal legends legends video, i can see how similar the artwork styles are which might be why i like the brutal legends one. My favourite Kipling's were; the elephants child and the crab that played with the sea.
The Cat that Walked by Himself was my favourite JSS, but for Kipling it has to be Rikki-Tikki Tavi ftw!

The world was created on October 17th 1857 at 05:25am, complete with people's memories, dino bones in the ground with decayed C14 and "yesterday's" newspapers . It will end as it started at some time in the future. Osu!
Read The Epic of Gilgamesh and think about the story and the imagery. A significant amount of Christian and other religious imagery is present IMO, very interesting. Mitch
That's my point, though there is a wide range of Christian imagery in there beyond just stuff relating to Noah. Mitch
