Could you kill your best friend?

Of course I'm talking about Battle Royale, the Japanese bestseller and cult movie. My fave book and film of all time. Anyone here ever read it?

 

I've seen the movie. Hilarious!

My friend and I were watching it on our computers during a LAN party, and people kept asking us "what movie is that?" Got annoying after the THIRTIETH TIME.

They should implement that in real life.

Takeshi Kitano is quite a versatile guy first he makes Takeshi's Castle, then Battle Royale and recently Zatoichi. I gotta try and see all his other films too I hear good things and if those films/shows are anything to go by they are bound to be excellent! 2 thumbs up for Battle Royale by the way.

 

Violent Cop and Hana-bi are musts!

 

Kikujiro is also a must see. Boiling Point is worth mention as well, but don't choose it over any of the other movies said.



Just stay away from BR2
