I have also posted this question on the general discussion forum - but i thought i would post it here too to see if any CKD or ex CKD had anything interesting particular to CKD to offer up. "The subject of having experience of groundwork & techniques is always being brought up by somebody or other here on the forum. But has anyone ever used a specific ground technique(even if you just past through it) 'on the ground' in an actual live street situation? - & i would rather avoid the restraining tech's. If so what was the situation (keep it as brief as poss') & what did you use?"
Any other Saturday night in Newport, few beers jumped in to help a mate . No specific technique, sort of Uchi Gari, if my memory serves, helped get me on top, elbows did the rest.
:cry: No. Was jumped on from behind by some agro bloke, threw him down on the ground, and he got winded and stopped. Never got to actually do any more. Lucky for that Judo training.
