http://youtu.be/LbSMup_x7Pc I think this chap might be quiet useful on a Saturday night patrolling our local highstreet!!!!
i prefer this one: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YsLkqwQrCS8&feature=related"]Chinese Police self-defence - YouTube[/ame]
I agree with you both. Very very capable and I certainly get the impression mentally tough; all the attributes for successful self defence encounters. I enjoyed watching doing the close in throws on the landing(walkway)His timing for these throws is superb. It’s a shame there is no slow down facility would like to see them in greater detail as they seem a good mixture of inner sweeps.
One of my instructors friends is in the Armed Police.Despite being a highly skilled martial artist he tends to shoot people who don't comply with his instructions. I think the first clip is a display team, similar to the one that the British Royal Marines send to promotional events.
I'd hire these guys [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QAzX7dUDDfM"]Japan Self Defence Force Karate - YouTube[/ame]
Anyone know what art(s) these guys are said to be trained in? 90-95% of the techniques shown in that video are taught in my jujitsu dojo (minus the high kicks and a couple of cool sweeps I haven't seen before). Just curious where these techniques are said to be coming from.
I see some Chin-Na, some JJ, some Aikido...but to be honest there are only so many ways you can twist a limb so similarities are to be expected
