We have a Chinese Kenpo school in Austin. I have not heard anything negative about this style and their lineage makes no mention of Grand Master Sin The of Shaolin Do. I remember reading about Ed Parker mentioning Chinese Kenpo somewhere. I'm not an expert in American Kenpo, but it looks like the school is basically teaching Parker Kenpo plus some Jui Jitsu added in. This is not the same as Shaolin Do. In fact, I remember stopping by that school back in '98 when I lived in Austin. If I recall correctly, the head instructor was ex-Marine and seemed to be pretty hard core.
