Anyobdy know any Chi Kung techniques they could each to me? I saw a movie about it called Riki Oh, and Chi Kung looks interesting,
oh yea i know , what i should've told you about was that i tried a sample class to for meditation but what i really want to learn are the iron shirt techniques
Iron shirt?? Sorry for not giving you a warmer welcome but I don't think anyone in this forum (if experienced enough about it) will give advice to a beginner about iron shirt. Forget about it. My advice is the following: Learn to stand in the horse stance (basic zhan zhuang) for a year. Come to me again after a year has passed and I tell you what to do. Check this out: http://www.i-chuan.net/pages/zz.pdf and this to emphasise what you have just read: http://qi-journal.com/Qigong.asp?-Token.FindPage=1&-Token.SearchID=Body Posture for Qigong The horse stance looks more or less like this (position 1): http://www.geocities.com/uk_dbbai/zhanp.html After you standing posture finish with a sitting one to avoid uncontrollable libido levels which will generally show up after a couple of weeks of training (do it either immediately after practice or at night before going to bed). Always do your standing first thing in the morning with empty tummy. Never at night otherwise you'll have insomnia and increased libido: http://www.wudanginternal.com/picture os qi gong-sittng.htm Take your entire year to master standing. Assimilate the article until you know it as good as you know your right hand. No bull, one mistake and you can have permanent physical and/or mental damage. And about iron shirt, I would say wait around 8 years. Good luck( 好運 hao yun) in your Qigong quest, Gerard.
